Health Care
MET has adopted the philosophy of contributing in all the health services in the project area. The aim of the Services is to:
- To improve the outlook of community towards health
- To provide easily accessible and affordable curative health services at the door step
- Provide referral services.
As part of our health outreach program and to provide health services at the door step, MET has entered in to an agreement with SGT Medical College run by Dashmesh trust in the vicinity to provide preventive and curative health care through Mobile Health Services (Health on Wheels) in 16 villages of the Project. The services are provided to about 40,000 individuals all through the year. In the last 8 years, we have had an OPD registration of around 2,85,000 villagers.
MET with the help of District Health Department, Jhajjar and SGT Medical College regularly organize Multi Specialty Camps, Eye, Dental, Hearing Aid (to support physically challenged) and Gynae Camps for the Project people and School Health check- ups for students. Health awareness sessions in these Camps are also organised. MET has engaged 21 Voluntary Health Functionaries (VHFs) for looking after health issues of women and young girls ,especially pre and post natal care and to make people aware of Government health schemes.
