Vocational Training
We are committed to equitable development through capacity building measures in our Project area.
The company is organizing a number of vocational and employment oriented programmes in association with renowned organizations, i.e. Rudiset, Orion, Brainwave, CAP foundation and SEED. More than 400 youths were given employment through these programmes. METL will continue to organize Vocational Training and employment oriented programs, conduct coaching classes for Para military, Defence, CTET and other Competitions so that maximum number of youths can earn a respectable livelihood and improve quality of life.
As part of employability enhancement programmes, METL in association with CAP foundation, Hyderabad in July 2007 initiated “SAMARTHYA”, a market oriented skill development training programme for 300 youths for 3 months. On completion of the training, CAP facilitated employment of 90 percent of the trainees.
The company in association with the Telecom sector skill council of India undertook training and placements of 34 youths of our project area for customer care Executive in different BPOs.
Training for placement in Haryana Delhi Police, SSC and army was also organized in association with a private training institute.
The Company, as part of up-gradation of the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under Private Public Partnership Model has adopted three ITIs in the project area, one of them being for Women. The adoption is aimed at affecting improvement in the Infrastructure, Tools & Equipment availability in the ITIs, improvement in the standard of training and better placement after completion of training. Improvement has been affected in all aspects and affiliation with NCVT (National Center for Vocational Training) will result in better job. In major drive 28 trades & 54 units have been affiliated with opportunities.
